why HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a humectant, meaning a substance that retains moisture, and it is capable of binding over one thousand times its weight in water.
Youthful skin is hydrated because it contains large amounts of HA. As we age, the production of key substances in the skin, including hyaluronic acid (along with collagen and elastin) decreases. As a result, our skin loses volume, hydration, and plumpness.
Creams containing HA have been proven to have a statistically significant moisturizing effect. Results of recent studies showed a significantly finer skin structure after two weeks of treatment, and skin elasticity showed a significant improvement after 2 and 8 weeks of treatment. The results clearly demonstrated a significant benefit in decreasing the depth of wrinkles (up to 40%), and skin hydration (up to 96%) and skin firmness and elasticity were significantly enhanced (up to 55%) at the end of eight weeks (see [1] and references therein).
For maximum surface hydration, we formulated our creams with hyaluronic acid molecules in a variety of sizes to ensure it penetrates deeply into the skin. [2]

Why Retinol?
Retinol is a small molecule that penetrates deep beneath the epidermis (outer layer of skin) to the dermis. Once in this middle layer of skin, retinol helps neutralize free radicals. This helps boost the production of elastin and collagen, which creates a “plumping” effect that can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores.
Retinol also stimulate the production of new blood vessels in the skin, which improves skin color. Additional benefits include fading age spots and softening rough patches of skin. However, it takes three to six months of regular use before improvements in wrinkles are apparent, and the best results take six to 12 months.

WHY Q10 COENZYME?
Coenzyme Q10 is a lipid soluble antioxidant naturally synthesized by our body. It is crucial for cellular energy production but is diminished with age and under the influence of external stress factors in human skin. Clinical studies showed that topical application results in Q10 replenishment, augmentation of cellular energy metabolism, and has antioxidant effects. See [5] and references therein.
Application of Q10‐containing formulas significantly increased its levels on the skin surface. In the deeper layers of the epidermis the level was significantly augmented indicating effective supplementation. Moreover, the results demonstrated that stressed skin benefits from the topical Q10 treatment by reduction of free radicals and an increase in antioxidant capacity.
